The article highlights how iPROLEPSIS uses digital tools, smartphone-based data and explainable AI to support personalised psoriatic arthritis monitoring
The iPROLEPSIS project has been featured in a newly published article in The Journal of Rheumatology, based on highlights from the GRAPPA 2025 Annual Meeting, held in Bogotá, Colombia.
During the meeting, Dr. Vasileios Charisis presented the iPROLEPSIS approach to psoriatic arthritis monitoring. The project applies digital phenotyping and explainable artificial intelligence to analyse smartphone-based data, including typing dynamics and hand motion tracking.
The article describes how these digital tools may help detect functional impairments related to psoriatic arthritis. Pilot data showed promising accuracy, supporting the potential of digital biomarkers for more personalised disease monitoring and management.
