How patients and healthcare professionals helped shape the iPROLEPSIS Digital Care Ecosystem
iPROLEPSIS has published an updated report on the user research and co-creation activities carried out to support the development of the project’s Digital Care Ecosystem for psoriatic arthritis.
The report describes how patients, healthcare professionals and researchers worked together to develop, test and refine the project’s digital tools.
Between July 2023 and October 2025, more than 780 patients and 30 healthcare professionals took part in activities across the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Portugal and Greece.
Participants contributed through focus groups, surveys, co-creation workshops and usability testing. Their feedback helped improve different aspects of the tools, including usability, accessibility, navigation, personalisation and visual presentation.
The report covers work on the miPROLEPSIS app, the Lifestyle Recommendation System, the biAURA app, the iPROLEPSIS serious games and the dashboard for healthcare professionals.
Across the different activities, participants also highlighted the importance of trust, usability and maintaining human connection when developing digital health technologies.
The findings will support further refinement, multilingual testing and clinical validation of the iPROLEPSIS tools as the project moves closer to real-world implementation.
